Egypt was inaugurating the long-delayed Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) on Saturday, the world’s largest museum dedicated to its ancient civilization. World leaders, including monarchs, heads of states and governments, were to attend the grand opening ceremony in Cairo. “This (GEM) is a symbol of Egypt, but it’s a symbol that Egypt wants to share”, FRANCE 24’s Nurla Teson said, reporting from Cairo.
